Alliko Errota belongs to the tiny village of Alli in Larraun, an extraordinary valley in the north of Navarre, just below Aralar Natural Park.
On the mill you will be in the middle of the nature, but strategically between Pamplona (33km) and Donostia – San Sebastián (49km). 1km away you will find Lekunberri, the main town in the area which offers all kinds of services: supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, tobacco shops, banks, etc.
Larraun offers the typical landscape of Navarre. It is the origin of the basque culture, full of green mountains, tiny villages with large and majestic “caseríos” (traditional houses) and the largest concentration of dolmens in Europe. In addition Alliko Errota is located at the foot of one of the northernmost beech forests in Europe: Aralar’s Natural Park.
The valley offers thousands of attractions for everybody: long walks by the Malloas Mountains, or family strolls to the Larraun river source; The Plazaola green route; the ancient caves of Mendukilo, Navarre’s traditional gastronomy, horses promenades and a rich cultural and artistic heritage with San Miguel de Aralar Sanctuary as its major reference.
The weather in Larraun is cantabric, with cold and wet winters and soft summers. This factor allows the valley to preserve its intense and vivid green color all year, and exceptionally diverse flora.
